Golf is indeed a big part of our business at The Arrandale Hotel, and within easy reach of the hotel we boast world famous championship golf courses such as Royal Troon, Turnberry and Prestwick Old Course together with approx 20 others in the portfolio we use to plan a golf break for you. Tailor made to suit you, our local knowledge means you get EXACTLY the golfing break you want, and at the best price. We cater for special breaks of Bed Breakfast/ Bed Breakfast & Evening Dinner, at very special rates. If you staying with us all the golf tee times, transport can be arranged for you together with all the advice and help you may need (we can often manage a bit of sunshine too!) . This is a free service for our guests to make your golfing break just that little bit easier. Email us for further details.
The hotel comprises 10 nicely appointed and individual en suite bedrooms named after west coast islands and a mix of single, double, twin and family accommodation and each equipped with Hairdryer, Television, Radio, Hospitality Tray. Two bedrooms sit on the ground floor, and all bedrooms are non smoking.
The hotel also boasts a newly refurbished elegant guest lounge, the perfect place to relax with a drink in the evening.
Breakfast is served in our characterful dining room , each breakfast freshly cooked to order with a good selection available on the menu (Vegetarian options available) We are able to provide very early cooked breakfasts and very late check in to coincide with all flight times.
Evening dinner is available during the summer months and is available as part of a special deal package.
Ayr Racecourse at Whitletts Road, Ayr, Scotland, was opened on 1907. The track is a left-handed, oval track, thirteen furlongs in circumference, with a straight run-in of half a mile.
There are courses for flat and for National Hunt racing. The course stages the highest-quality racing and most prestigious races run in Scotland in both codes of the sport.
From Ayr By Pass (A77) turn left into A719 (Main Road) at the Whitletts roundabout. Continue along A 719 which becomes Whitletts Road, you will pass Ayr Racecourse on left hand side, continue straight to King Street roundabout (one way system begins) (police station on right hand side) continue straight to traffic lights and turn left over the New bridge and straight on to long straight one way road called Sandgate. Continue to end of this road where you should almost double back on yourself at the mini roundabout into Fort Street. First left takes you into Charlotte Street and the Arrandale Hotel sits at the right hand side of the first crossroads.
From the Airport Building exit, turn left towards Prestwick, taking 3rd exit at first roundabout into Monkton Road, it is a straight road from there as follows: Continue straight into Main Street, becoming Ayr Road, Prestwick, then becoming Prestwick Road Ayr into Allison Street taking 3rd exit at next roundabout into Main street (Police Station will be on right hand side) This is a one way system, turn left at traffic lights and over new bridge and follow instructions from there as above to take you to the Arrandale Hotel.
